GLAZED SLIDING SMOKE VENTILATORS
Surespan supplied an electric 4610 x 1955 glazed sliding smoke vent for Great Portland Street in London. The large cover provided a 7m² free air flow.
FIXED RAIL SLIDING ACCESS
Supplied to Gartsherrie Engineering Ltd. in Scotland. This biomass sliding cover features fixed external rails and electric operation. A further two sliding covers were supplied in smaller sizes.
Telescopic sliding covers are ideal for small sizes that only need access for maintenance personnel or end users. These are produced in sizes up to 750 x 2500. Perfect for manual opening, the sliding cover easily and smoothly opens to provide large clear opening for easy access.
Fixed rails are used for larger sizes up to 3m x 3m. We can also produce larger sizes on request. The fixed rails provide a large clear area ideal for equipment, tools and personnel access. The external rail is fixed down onto the roof and provides structural support for the lid.
Sliding roof hatches can be sold with a glazed lid which provides good ammount of daylight for users below. They also consist a talking point in modern architecture.
Thermally Broken Roof Hatch
All Surespan SRH/DL Roof Hatches include thermally broken extruded sections. Hence the excellent energy conservation properties and substantially reduced internal condensation and frost formation.
In addition this reduces thermal conductivity and consequently the heat loss.
